Pearl of Excellence Scholarship

The Waco Hanan Foundation is proud to offer our first program scholarship, the Pearl of Excellence Scholarship. This scholarship will be rewarded to one senior participant who has completed the online application in its entirety in its given due date and exemplifies the following:

• Strong leadership qualities through actions, integrity, and initiative.

• Demonstrates character, resilience, and personable responsibility.

• An active contributor to their school, family, and/or community.

• Has made a strong commitment to attending and participating in Waco Hanan Foundation events to the best of their ability. (Pearls do not have to attend every event to qualify for the scholarship)

To qualify for the scholarship interested senior pearls must meet the following criteria.

• Complete and submit the online application by 5 PM, March 20, 2026.

• Was formally accepted into the 2025/2026 cohort as a senior.

• Plans to begin school in the Fall 2026 year at a 2 or 4 year college or university.

To maintain a fair and balanced review and selection process, the Waco Hanan Foundation has composed a selection committee of volunteers. These volunteers will receive an anonymous format of applications to review thoroughly and asked to rank said applications.
