The Legacy of Hanan
Hanan Ali Lacy was a devoted educator and mentor that loved what she did. She fearlessly spent her life using her energy, light and positivity to advocate for, inspire, motivate and mentor young people in believing beyond what they thought was possible. Hanan was always known to say “This is about the kids”. Hanan deeply believed that every person was a unique, valuable pearl that deserved to be treated with dignity, respect and love. Therefore, she took the time to get to truly know and keep up with everyone around her. She generously used all of her God given gifts and talents to encourage and build up others. Hanan would “stop anything that she was doing to help anyone” and confidently assure them “I GOT you”.

She was an active participant in multiple academic and social organizations. After graduation, Hanan attended Prairie View A&M University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a Master of Arts in Counseling.
